Wendy Mentzel- Part Time Receptionist
I have lived in the Shiocton area my whole life and I am happily married, for over 25 years, to my wonderful husband, Kevin. We have one amazing son, Dashal, who recently graduated college at North Dakota State University, where he was studying to become a sports broadcaster. We also have 2 cats named Chance and Charlie. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends at our camper in New London.

I was born and raised in Florham Park, NJ and throughout school I was very involved in music and theater. I attended the University of Maine in Orono where I earned a BA in English, became certified to teach and met my husband, Bruce. After graduation I took a job teaching high school English and Spanish at Lee Academy in Lee, Maine and got my first Siberian Husky. Three years later, we married and moved to Wisconsin. It was here that I decided to pursue my love of animals and became a veterinary assistant. I started exhibiting and breeding my dogs under the kennel name of White Pines earning both titles in both conformation and performance events. In 2005, I had my son Luke and life has never been the same. He is an ice hockey player, goaltender specifically, and we spend most of our time between October and March at the ice rink. When not working with the dogs or at the rink, my family enjoys camping, traveling, four wheeling and snowmobiling. I also enjoy crafts, gardening, music and movies. I recently went back to school and earned my certification in Medical Coding and Billing.
